The summit is an opportunity for patient safety stakeholders from industries across the state to discuss how to make Indiana the safest place in the world to receive care. Discussions will explore how we design care, how we pay for care, what we measure, what we teach, what behaviors we reward, and what policies we might develop. Program Agenda *Barbara Lewis, WFYI, Sound Medicine and Inside Indiana will serve as the moderator for the day Expert Presenters: John Nance, JD and Dr. Robert Wachter Panel on Preventing Bloodstream Infections: Dr. Isaam Raad, Dr. Sean Berenholtz, and Dr. Dennis Maki. Panel on Technology to Support Human Factors: Simulation training in medical and nursing education Dr. Scott Engum, Indiana University Telemedicine in rural health to enhance care Douglas Fauber, assistant administrator and chief nursing officer, Union Hospital, Clinton.
