David Johnson
David Johnson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of BioCrossroads, a market-driven collaboration of Indiana's corporate, university, government and entrepreneurial leaders in the life sciences industry.
Under his leadership, BioCrossroads has raised more than $235 for life sciences venture capital and enterprise investments. Growing up in Indianapolis, Johnson graduated B.A. summa cum laude in social studies from Harvard University in 1974 and JD cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1979. He also received a B.A. Honours degree in 1976 from New College, Oxford University, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. Prior to assuming leadership of BioCrossroads in 2005, Johnson was a business and finance lawyer in private legal practice. He serves today on numerous public, private, and community boards and commissions. In his capacity as BioCrossroads CEO, Johnson also serves as Manager of the Indiana Seed Fund and Manager of the Indiana Enterprise Fund, as well as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Indiana Future Fund I, LLC.

Nora Doherty
Nora Doherty joined BioCrossroads in 2003 after working many years with entrepreneurial companies. She is Vice President of Finance for BioCrossroads and Managing Director for the Indiana Seed Fund; Doherty also supports other venture-related activities and contract management.
Doherty also has a rich history of working for entrepreneurial companies. She was Vice President of Tom Doherty, Inc. Architectural Audio and Video, a nationally recognized award-winning custom audio and video business focused on home theater and corporate boardroom design and installation. She managed all financial and operational aspects of this highly profitable business.
From 1996 until her current position with BioCrossroads, she was a Co-founder, Vice-president of Operations and Vice President Legal, Human Resources and Administration, and Corporate Secretary with Escient Technologies, which developed and marketed emerging consumer electronics technologies with a focus on leveraging Internet technologies to make consumer electronics easy to use and content rich.
Doherty received her BA and MBA from Indiana University , where she was a member of the honors program. She also received the "Excellence in Leadership" award as special recognition from the professors and administration of Indiana University MBA-CIP for leadership and contribution to the program.

Troy Hege
Troy Hege serves as Project Director for BioCrossroads and is President of the Datalys Center. Datalys is a spin out of Novus Sport’s and BioCrossroads’ long-standing work in the sports centered life sciences area. Datalys was formed in collaboration with the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the American College of Sports Medicine and is a contract research organization that aims to facilitate the health and safety of the physically active.
In addition to the Datalys Center, Hege spends time vetting and developing emergent life science opportunities and directly supports existing BioCrossroads initiatives such as the Fairbanks Institute for Healthy Communities, university-based translational research efforts, and the Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE). Hege also sits on the board of Mergetics, a newly formed spin off from IHIE.
Prior to joining BioCrossroads, Hege spent seven years in management consulting, including two years at The Edison Group, a healthcare management consultancy he founded. Hege also has worked for consulting firms in Boston and New York, where he advised leading healthcare, pharmaceutical and technology companies in brand management, business development and technology strategy. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.

Brian Stemme
Brian Stemme serves as Project Director for BioCrossroads, working to identify and develop collaborations between Indiana's research universities, government and private sector. Stemme manages BioCrossroadsLINX, an initiative focused on leveraging Indiana’s strengths in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. In addition, he assesses early-stage companies for the Indiana Seed Fund and sits on the board of Muroplex Therapeutics and AgeneBio.
Before joining BioCrossroads, Stemme worked in corporate affairs and financial roles for Eli Lilly and Company and Arthur Andersen. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Butler University in Indianapolis and has served as president of its alumni association.

Lori LeRoy
Lori LeRoy serves as Public Relations and Marketing Director for BioCrossroads and leads their public/media relations activities as well as their internal and external communications strategies. She also directs advertising and general marketing activities.
LeRoy was previously marketing manager, communications for Roche Diagnostics Diabetes Care business area. She was also a public relations consultant at Roche where she managed product public relations for its laboratory, hospital, physician’s office and research products. With a strong background in consumer PR, brand awareness campaigns and health care/technology PR, she has also held positions as senior manager, corporate communications at Philips Consumer Electronics and corporate communications manager at AirTran Airways.
She earned a B.A. in English and Asian Studies from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, where she also served as a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. As a volunteer, LeRoy serves on the board of directors of Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Center and on the communications committee for the Indiana State Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Matt Hall
Matt Hall is the manager, projects and finance for BioCrossroads and works on project development, capital formation and enterprise investment of BioCrossroads, its entities and initiatives. Hall has a strong background in structured finance, investment banking and economic development. He was previously vice president – investment banking, public sector finance for NatCity Investments, where he oversaw the daily operations of the regional office, structured financings and was an underwriter on more than $525 million of bonds. At the Indianapolis Local Public Improvement Bond Bank, Hall served as project manager, working on economic and real estate development projects and advising several City of Indianapolis entities on municipal finance.
A graduate of Indiana University with a B.A. in political science, Hall is also a member of the Indiana University Medical Group Foundation Investment Committee and has served on local community development boards and the Indianapolis Charter Schools Board.

Julie Routt
Julie Routt is BioCrossroads’ office manager and executive assistant to the vice president and vice president of finance. Julie has been with BioCrossroads since 2003. Prior to joining the organization, Julie worked at the Indy Partnership, the Indianapolis Mayor’s Office, and the Indianapolis Zoo. She is a graduate of Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana.

Brenda Hood
Brenda Hood joined BioCrossroads in January 2005 as Executive Assistant for David Johnson, President and CEO. Previously she worked at the law firm of Baker & Daniels for 15 years.
