The $73 million Indiana Future Fund, established by BioCrossroads in 2003, has been the life blood of several new Indiana life sciences companies, and continues to provide the foundation for Indiana’s venture capital growth. The IFF has also been a trailblazer in securing additional capital from beyond Indiana for Indiana companies, bringing over $100 million to Indiana start-ups from outside sources of venture funding.
Future Fund investors include Indiana’s public pension funds as well as ten other corporate and university foundations and institutions. The funds are invested by venture capital partners: AM Pappas Life Science Ventures III, L.P., Burrill Indiana Life Sciences Capital Fund, L.P., EDF Ventures III Sidecar, L.P., Pearl Street Venture Fund, L. P., Spring Mill Venture Fund, L.P., and Triathlon Medical Ventures Fund, L.P.
The IFF is a major milestone because of its role in dramatically expanding the amount of venture capital available to Indiana’s entrepreneurs.
