Indiana Seed Fund

Under the leadership of BioCrossroads, the Indiana Seed Fund I is a $6 million seed-stage private investment fund designed to be a source of critical pre-venture investment capital for emerging Indiana life sciences companies.

 

The Indiana Seed Fund is a return-driven fund that makes direct equity investments of $50,000 - $500,000, and has invested in 10 start-up life sciences companies in Indiana. 

 

For purposes of Indiana Seed Fund submissions, seed stage investments are generally targeted to enterprises that have a concept or product under development, but are perhaps not fully operational. Business plans, leadership teams and market research are often still under development; initial discovery and intellectual property protection are usually in process; early funding efforts from multiple potential sources are often underway.

 

The Indiana Seed Fund was formed to help narrow the gap between discovery and third-party funding in Indiana and to prepare companies for venture investments, through vehicles like the Indiana Future Fund I.   The Indiana Seed Fund invests in promising people, technologies and companies in Indiana.
